Unit 3: Astronomy

In this unit we will be studying astronomy, the study of outer space.  Topics covered will be the objects found in the solar system such as the sun, planets, satellites, dwarf planets, asteroids, meteoroids, and comets.  Other topics discussed will be stars and galaxies.  We will have a few labs/activities, scaling the solar system, phases of the moon, and Apollo 13, but most of the points will come from the Astronomy Research Packet.
